SUMMARY:BABY PUPPY BLOCK
DESCRIPTION:IT’S ALL ABOUT THE PUPPIES!!!!\n  \n\nDo you have a brand new puppy??\nHave you looked at Crufts on the television and thought you’d love to be there one day with your dog?\n\nWell\, just maybe that’s exactly what the future could hold for you and your new best furry companion.  Our 6 week PUPPY FOUNDATION RINGCRAFT sessions are for  you – just one payment of £100 and 6 weeks of fun and puppy enrichment at your finger tips.  Designed specifically for brand new baby puppies\, and crafted to give them the foundation to build on and become a super show dog.  Our 6 week block will give them confidence and a grounding in the basics.  It will direct you into the exercises and games you can play at this pivotal early age to set your puppy up for success so that by the time he is old enough to step paw in the ring\, he is already well on his way to a glittering career. \nDog shows in the UK are regulated by the Kennel Club and only dogs who are pedigree examples of the breed (ie they have “papers” and are not crossbreeds) are allowed to show in most dog shows.  However\, if you are just looking for a bit of fun and to attend local fun shows\, then your dog would be able to compete even if he is not a pedigree. \nThis 6 week block of one hour sessions will have a maximum of 8 handlers/dogs in them so you aren’t lost in the crowd and will get the 121 attention you need.  It will be attended by other baby puppies just like yours\, so no need for any of them to feel out of their depth – they all have to start somewhere! \nThe course will guide you through such things as: \n\nGetting your puppy to focus on  you\nThe right way to use a lead\nStanding your dog with the PingPong game\nFull body examination husbandry\nFree stacking without touching your dog\nLoose lead trotting\nRunning with other dogs\nTraining and games to practice at home\nAccess to our training videos and files in the Ringcraft Rebels Facebook Group.\n\nAt the end of the course you can either enrol for a further Foundation Puppy block\, move forward to 121 training or participate in our workshops before hitting the showring with your best friend for real. \nDates for this block are WEDNESDAY EVENINGS at 6-7.00 pm\nWEEK 1:     28th February\, 2024\nNO CLASS THE FOLLOWING WEEK – PLEASE PRACTICE THE SKILLS FROM WEEK 1\nWEEK 2:    13th March\, 2024\nWEEK 3:    20th March\, 2024\nWEEK 4:    27th March\, 2024\nWEEK 5:    3rd April\, 2024\nWEEK 6:    10th April\, 2024 \nBlocks are booked and paid for in full HOWEVER if your puppy is not ready to start in time for inclusion in all the sessions\, you can book for individual sessions within the block by texting Kerry on 07946 208817 to see if there are any spaces left – each of those individual session bookings will be charged at £20 and payment can be made by following this link: Book Individual Puppy Session \nBring your happy face and enthusiastic demeanour – training should be fun and I guarantee you’ll get so much more from your furry companion if you are both loving it!  No harsh handling will be permitted. \nWhat should I bring?  Treats …. lots and lots of tiny high value yummy treats of various types that your dog will work for.\nShould I bring toys?  If your dog is toy-driven\, then bring his favourite toy as his reward/reinforcer.\nDo I need to bring a water bowl?  Water is available but please bring your own bowl to avoid cross contamination.\nDo I need poo bags?  Yes\, always have poo bags with you (that includes in the actual show ring too) … you just never know when they’ll do it.\nWhat should I wear?  Comfortable clothes and shoes that allow you to move at a speed you would in the show ring.\nDo I need a chair?  We envisage you standing and working with your dog throughout the entire hour. \nPlease arrive 5 minutes to toilet your dog before your session to ensure you get the full amount of time and do not disturb the class once it is already in session. \n\n\n\nLOCATION:\nThe fields are on the South Cave – Brough road\, 420 metres in the Brough direction from the roundabout near the BP service station on the A1034/A63 South Cave junction. SUMMARY:APRIL K9 1ST AID WEBINAR
DESCRIPTION:LIVE CANINE FIRST AID WEBINAR – FROM THE COMFORT OF YOUR OWN HOME!\nSo what to you need to do to access the training via webinar?  Well\, when you book on through the button below\, you will receive an email.  That email will have the joining link you need to access the training which will be delivered through the TEAMS software.  YOU DO NOT NEED THE SOFTWARE INSTALLED ON YOUR DEVICE TO ACCESS THE TRAINING. The link will take you to the entrance hall where you will wait to be let in at the beginning of the session.\nPLEASE DO TRY TO LOG ON nice and early on the day of the session so that any technical glitches can be resolved BEFORE the class gets underway.  Once the session is in progress I’m afraid I will not be able to access my phone to address any problems until the half way break.\n………………………………………. \nOn our courses\, EVERYBODY is welcome from Students through to Professional Groomers\, Pet Sitters\, Dog Trainers\, Security Guards\, Hobbyists and members of the General Public.  We deal with shock\, bleeding\, choking\, bites\, road traffic accidents as well as the big topics of CPR and Artificial Respiration \n\nEach student will gain a certificate of attendance and full course notes to take away\, so note taking throughout the session is unnecessary. For students attending as part of their vocational studies\, the course generates 3 CPD points.\n.\nDuring the bandaging section\, I will demonstrate on one of my dogs and if you have your dog handy\, then you could try this as we go along too.  However\, it is generally safer to practice your skills initially on a human volunteer rather than on your furry best friend.   A dog cannot give you any feedback about your skills so by doing it on a person\, we can get their honest opinion once the bandage is complete. Human skin also reacts clearly by changing colour and temperature if it is too tight and swells up which is great for you to witness as a learning tool.  Once you are consistently getting positive feedback from your human “Rover”\, that’s the time to start practising on your dog.\n\n.\nWe have a fully stocked shop on the website where any products featured (and many more that we don’t mention) will be available for you to buy should you wish: our Rhodes 2 Recovery books\, bandages\, first aid kits\, vet wrap\, tick pickers etc.  If you do order from our website\, your merchandise will be sent to you in a different package from your certificate to ensure that it arrives with you in a nice\, flat condition\, rather than squeezed in with your purchases.\n\n\n\n(Spaces are paid for in full\, in advance\, and sadly are non-refundable if cancelled with less than two weeks notice.)\n\n\n\n\n……………………………………….\nRhodes 2 Safety have been ranked as the UK’s Number 1 for canine first aid training for the last 8 years straight (2016\,17\,18\,19\,20\, 21\, 22 & 23) in the Business Excellence Awards as well as the Winner of the Outstanding Training Provider of the Year award\, 2017\, Global Excellence Training Provider of the Year 2018\,  finalist in the 2019 Animal Star Awards\, Trusted Business Woman of the Year\, 2021\, and UK’s Trusted Canine First Aid Provider of the Year 2022\, so you know the information and service you get from us will be second-to-none

SUMMARY:K9 1st Aid Training - Glasgow
DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to have been invited back to Glasgow\, as guests of the lovely members of Waggy Tails.  This session\, just like all our others\, is sure to be fun\,  lively and incredibly effective at getting the important first aid information across that could well save the life of your furry companion. \nThe K9 1st Aid courses delivered by Rhodes 2 Safety have been ranked as the UK’s Number 1 consistently since 2016\, so you know the information and service you get will be second-to-none. \nWe deal with shock\, bleeding\, choking\, bites\, road traffic accidents as well as the big topics of CPR and Artificial Respiration \nStudents DO NOT bring their dogs\, but I will have one or two of my Ridgebacks with me for demonstration purposes.\n.\nEach student will gain a certificate of attendance and full course notes to take away\, so note taking throughout the session is unnecessary. For students attending as part of their vocational studies\, the course generates 3 CPD points.\n.\nEverybody will be seated in a horseshoe so that EVERYBODY is on the front row – nobody should be struggling to see.\n.\nDuring the bandaging section\, I will demonstrate on one of my dogs and then students will be put into pairs to allow one to be the first aider and the other to be the doggy patient. Once the bandage is done\, students will then swap so that each not only has a go at doing the dressing but also feels how it is to be the patient and understands how the dressing feels when applied. A dog cannot give you any feedback about your skills so by doing it on a person\, we can get their honest opinion once the bandage is complete. Human skin also reacts by changing colour and temperature if it is too tight and swells up.\n.\nTo practice on a toy would not give you any of this feedback and I would not be happy about anybody practicing on a live animal until they are proficient in it – I am\, however\, more than happy for them to torture a human!\n.\nAt the end of the session\, there will be first aid products on sale too such as our Rhodes 2 Recovery book\, bandages\, first aid kits\, vet wrap\, tick pickers etc.\nCome and join us?

DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to be hosting a session in Tarporley\, as guests of Kelsall Community Centre. \nThis session\, just like all our others\, is sure to be fun\,  lively and incredibly effective at getting the important first aid information across that could well save the life of your furry companion. For students attending as part of their vocational studies\, the course generates 3 CPD points.\n.\nEverybody will be seated in a horseshoe so that EVERYBODY is on the front row – nobody should be struggling to see.\n.\nDuring the bandaging section\, I will demonstrate on one of my dogs.  A dog cannot give you any feedback about your skills so by practicing your skills on a person\, we can get their honest opinion once the bandage is complete. Human skin also reacts by changing colour and temperature if it is too tight and swells up.  To practice on a toy would not give you any of this feedback and I would not be happy about anybody practicing on a live animal until they are proficient in it – I am\, however\, more than happy for them to torture a human!\n.\nAt the end of the session\, there will be first aid products on sale too such as our Rhodes 2 Recovery book\, bandages\, first aid kits\, vet wrap\, tick pickers etc.\nWhy not come and join us?
