SUMMARY:WEBINAR CANINE FIRST AID
DESCRIPTION:** IMPORTANT BINGLEY CANINE FIRST AID UPDATE ** \nAs we have now all been instructed to minimise travel and distance ourselves as much as possible\, we will no longer be able to get together IN PERSON at the venues we had planned BUT to get around the problem of social isolation\, we are switching ALL our sessions to teaching remotely\, via a live webinar link.  Everything will be pretty much the same as it would if I were with you in person – but you’ll be able to do the course in your PJs with no bra or makeup this time if the fancy takes you!!!! (fellas\, that includes you too).  Certificates and course notes will be posted to you after the event to keep your CPD requirements up to date. \nIf you are going to access the training via your laptop or PC\, then please make sure you have Google Chrome installed as the software will not run on other browsers.  If you are going to watch the session from your tablet or mobile device\, then please make sure you have already downloaded the 8×8 Video Meetings app to your device. \nThe session will be open to join 30 MINUTES before it is due to start to enable everybody to get to grips with the tech so we can still start on time.  If you have any questions before hand or on the day\, please do give me a call or text on 07946 208817. \nIf you have booked for more than one person\, please let me know the names of the people who will be attending so that I can have the certificates etc organised for them. \nWHEN YOU BOOK\, YOU WILL THEN RECEIVE AN EMAIL WITH THE LINK YOU NEED TO ACCESS THE SESSION. \nBest wishes and stay safe \nKerry Rhodes \nwww.Rhod2Safety.com \n\n\n\n  \n—————————————————————————————————————————————————————————– \n\n\n\nThis the AFTERNOON session WAS due to be hosted at St. Wilfrid’s Church in Bingley.  It is still going ahead but in live\, WEBINAR format\, and is sure to be fun\,  lively and incredibly effective at getting the important first aid information across that could well save the life of your furry companion. \n\n \nAs seen on Britain’s Top 100 Dogs. \nRhodes 2 Safety have been ranked as the UK’s Number 1 for canine first aid training in the both the 2017 and 2018 Business Excellence Awards as well as the Winner of the Outstanding Training Provider of the Year award\, 2017 and a finalist in the 2019 Animal Star Awards\, so you know the information and service you get from us will be second-to-none. \n \nEverybody is welcome from Students through to Professional Groomers\, Pet Sitters\, Dog Trainers\, Security Guards\, Hobbyists and members of the General Public.  We deal with shock\, bleeding\, choking\, bites\, road traffic accidents as well as the big topics of CPR and Artificial Respiration \nStudents DO NOT bring their dogs\, but I will have one or two of my Ridgebacks with me for demonstration purposes.\n.\nEach student will gain a certificate of attendance and full course notes to take away\, so note taking throughout the session is unnecessary. For students attending as part of their vocational studies\, the course generates 3 CPD points.\n.\nStudents are seated in a horseshoe so that EVERYBODY is on the front row and nobody will be struggling to see.\n.\nDuring the bandaging section\, I will demonstrate on one of my dogs and then students will be put into pairs to allow one to be the first aider and the other to be the doggy patient. Once the bandage is done\, students will then swap so that each not only has a go at doing the dressing but also feels how it is to be the patient and understands how the dressing feels when applied. A dog cannot give you any feedback about your skills so by doing it on a person\, we can get their honest opinion once the bandage is complete. Human skin also reacts by changing colour and temperature if it is too tight and swells up.\n.\nTo practice on a toy would not give you any of this feedback and I would not be happy about anybody practising on a live animal until they are proficient with the skill.  I am\, however\, more than happy for them to torture a human!\n.\nAt the end of the session\, there will be first aid products on sale too\, such as our Rhodes 2 Recovery book\, bandages\, first aid kits\, vet wrap\, tick pickers etc.  Tickets do go very quickly so if you would like to secure your place\, please click the link below.\n(Spaces are paid for in full\, in advance\, and sadly are non-refundable if cancelled with less than two weeks notice.)\nCome and join us?

(fellas\, that includes you too).\nSo what to you need to do to access the training via webinar?  Well\, you will receive an email (to the email address you quoted when you booked your place).  That email will have the joining link you need to access the training and it’s SIMPLE I promise.  If you are going to watch the course on a PC or a laptop\, then clicking the link will take you straight into the meeting.\nIf you are going to watch via a tablet or other mobile device\, then you will need to make sure you have already downloaded the 8×8 Video Meetings app to your phone or tablet.  Then\, at the time of the meeting\, just click the joining link in your email to connect straight through.\nThe session will be open to join 15 MINUTES before it is due to start to enable everybody to get to grips with the tech so we can still start on time.  If you have any questions\, please do give me a text on 07946 208817.\nWebinar joining emails will be sent out over the next few days or\, if you are only just booking now\, you will receive an email a day or so after you book.\nOur 2020 Scottish Tour kicks off in the beautiful town of Linlithgow.  This AFTERNOON session will be hosted at Lothlorien Dog Services and is sure to be fun\,  lively and incredibly effective at getting the important first aid information across that could well save the life of your furry companion. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets

SUMMARY:STOCKPORT CANINE FIRST AID
DESCRIPTION:PLEASE NOTE THIS VENUE FOR THIS EVENT HAS CHANGED AS HAS THE START TIME \nThis event was due to take place at Walkeze but due to all the rain\, urgent repair work is needed so we have had to alter the venue to\nHIGH LANE VILLAGE HALL\njust 5 minutes down the road\, and the start time has now moved to\n1:30 rather than 1 o’clock as previously planned. \n  \n  \nWe are delighted to have been invited back to Stockport as part of our 2019 diary.   This session\, just like all our others\, is sure to be fun\, lively and incredibly effective at getting the important first aid information across that could well save the life of your furry companion. \n* \nRhodes 2 Safety have been ranked as the UK’s Number 1 for canine first aid training for 2 years running in the 2017 & 2018 Business Excellence Awards and\, on top of that\, we are delighted to have also been crowned Winner of the Outstanding Training Provider of the Year award\, so you know the information and service you get from us will be second-to-none. \n\n \nWe deal with shock\, bleeding\, choking\, bites\, road traffic accidents as well as the big topics of CPR and Artificial Respiration \nStudents DO NOT bring their dogs\, but I will have one or two of my Ridgebacks with me for demonstration purposes.\n.\nEach student will gain a certificate of attendance and full course notes to take away\, so note taking throughout the session is unnecessary although we are more than happy for students to take their own notes\, photographs of the dogs or anything that is put on the whiteboard during the day if they feel it will help them remember techniques or processes.\n.\nFor students attending as part of their vocational studies\, the course generates 3 CPD points.\n.\nDuring the bandaging section\, I will demonstrate on one of my dogs and then students will be put into pairs to allow one to be the first aider and the other to be the doggy patient.  Once the bandage is done\, students will then swap so that each not only has an opportunity to apply the dressing but also understands how the dressing feels when applied.  A dog cannot give you any feedback about your skills so by doing it on a person\, we can get their honest opinion once the bandage is complete. Human skin also reacts by changing colour and temperature if it is too tight and swells up\, another indicator that is more difficult to see on a furry patient.\n.\nTo practice on a toy would not give you any of this feedback and I would not be happy about anybody practicing on a live animal until they are proficient.  I am\, however\, more than happy for our students to torture a human!  Each student will be given a wound dressing and vet wrap to use during their practical training\, and will also be allowed to keep and take these home with them at the end of the day.\n.\n\nAt the end of the session\, there will be first aid products on sale too such as our Rhodes 2 Recovery book\, bandages\, first aid kits\, vet wrap\, tick pickers etc should you wish to buy or beef up your existing canine first aid kit. \nTickets do go very quickly and there are strict limits on numbers\, so if you would like to secure your place\, please click the “Buy ticket” button below. \nT’s & C’s\n(Spaces are paid for in full\, in advance\, through PayPal on this website.  If you do not have a PayPal account\, you can still check out as a guest\, simply using your credit card details.  Sadly\, all payments are non-refundable if cancelled with less than two weeks’ notice.) \n\nCome and join us?

Human skin also reacts by changing colour and temperature if it is too tight and swells up\, another indicator that is more difficult to see on a furry patient.\n.\nTo practice on a toy would not give you any of this feedback and I would not be happy about anybody practising on a live animal until they are proficient. Sadly\, all payments are non-refundable if cancelled with less than two weeks’ notice.) \nCome and join us?

DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to be back in Portobello\, Edinburgh\, this year as part of our Scottish Tour.
