SUMMARY:HESSLE E. YORKS K9 1ST AID SEMINAR
DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to be hosting a repeat session in Hessle\, East Yorkshire\, at the invitation of Just Pet Dogs training.  As I have trained my own dogs personally with Marion for years\, we are running this session at a £5 discount from our usual local rate. \nThis session\, just like all our others\, is sure to be fun\,  lively and incredibly effective at getting the important first aid information across that could well save the life of your furry companion.  Teaching time is 3 hours with 15 minute break for FREE tea OR coffee. \nThe K9 1st Aid courses delivered by Rhodes 2 Safety have been ranked as the UK’s Number 1 consistently since 2016 and this year we can also add being a finalist in the Pet Related Business of the Year Award\, 2024 – so you know the information and service you get will be second-to-none. \nWe deal with shock\, bleeding\, choking\, bites\, road traffic accidents as well as the big topics of CPR and Artificial Respiration \nStudents DO NOT bring their dogs\, but I will have one or two of my Ridgebacks with me for demonstration purposes.\n.\nEach student will gain a certificate of attendance and full course notes to take away\, so note taking throughout the session is unnecessary. For students attending as part of their vocational studies\, the course generates 3 CPD points.\n.\nEverybody will be seated in a horseshoe so that EVERYBODY is on the front row – nobody should be struggling to see.\n.\nDuring the bandaging section\, I will demonstrate on one of my dogs.  A dog cannot give you any feedback about your skills so by practicing your skills on a person\, we can get their honest opinion once the bandage is complete. Human skin also reacts by changing colour and temperature if it is too tight and swells up.  To practice on a toy would not give you any of this feedback and I would not be happy about anybody practicing on a live animal until they are proficient in it – I am\, however\, more than happy for them to torture a human!\n.\nAt the end of the session\, there will be first aid products on sale too such as our Rhodes 2 Recovery book\, bandages\, first aid kits\, vet wrap\, tick pickers etc.\n.\nPARKING\nPlease either park outside the hall on the street (IF there are any spaces left) or otherwise there is always room in the supermarket carpark just around the corner.  PLEASE DO NOT PARK in the residents’ parking area across the road from the hall in the Horne.\nWhy not come and join us?

SUMMARY:HESSLE\, EAST YORKSHIRE
DESCRIPTION:We are thrilled to be back in Hessle\, East Yorkshire\, my “neck of the woods”\, for another date on our 2019 diary.  This course\, just like the rest of the tour\, is sure to be fun\, lively and incredibly effective at getting the important first aid information across that could well save the life of your furry companion. \nRhodes 2 Safety has been ranked as the UK’s Number 1 for canine first aid training in both the 2017 and 2018 Business Excellence Awards\, the outright Winner of the Outstanding Training Provider of the Year award\, 2017 and we regained our title again in 2018 too\, so you know the information and service you get from us will literally be second-to-none. \n \nWe deal with shock\, bleeding\, choking\, bites\, road traffic accidents as well as the big topics of CPR and Artificial Respiration \nStudents DO NOT bring their dogs\, but I will have one or two of my Ridgebacks with me for demonstration purposes.\n.\nEach student will gain a certificate of attendance and full course notes to take away\, so note taking throughout the session is unnecessary although we are more than happy for students to take their own notes\, photographs of the dogs or anything that is put on the whiteboard during the day if they feel it will help them remember techniques or processes.\n.\nFor students attending as part of their vocational studies\, the course generates 3 CPD points.\n.\nDuring the bandaging section\, I will demonstrate on one of my dogs and then students will be put into pairs to allow one to be the first aider and the other to be the doggy patient.  Once the bandage is done\, students will then swap so that each not only has an opportunity to apply the dressing but also understands how the dressing feels when applied.  A dog cannot give you any feedback about your skills so by doing it on a person\, we can get their honest opinion once the bandage is complete. Human skin also reacts by changing colour and temperature if it is too tight and swells up\, another indicator that is more difficult to see on a furry patient.\n.\nTo practice on a toy would not give you any of this feedback and I would not be happy about anybody practising on a live animal until they are proficient.  I am\, however\, more than happy for our students to torture a human!  Each student will be given a wound dressing and vet wrap to use during their practical training\, and will also be allowed to keep and take these home with them at the end of the day.\n.\n\nAt the end of the session\, there will be first aid products on sale too such as our Rhodes 2 Recovery book\, bandages\, first aid kits\, vet wrap\, tick pickers etc should you wish to buy or beef up your existing canine first aid kit. \nTickets do go very quickly and there are strict limits on numbers\, so if you would like to secure your place\, please click the “Buy ticket” button below. \nT’s & C’s\n(Spaces are paid for in full\, in advance\, through PayPal on this website.  If you do not have a PayPal account\, you can still check out as a guest\, simply using your credit card details.  Sadly\, all payments are non-refundable if cancelled with less than two weeks’ notice.) \n\nParking:\nPlease park in the Co-Op car park just 1 minute’s walk away.  Parking outside the Community Centre itself\, on the Horne\, is for residents only.  Thank you \n\nCome and join us?

SUMMARY:HULL - HESSLE\, EAST YORKSHIRE
DESCRIPTION:Due to popular demand\, we find ourselves back near Hull\, specifically Hessle\, for our third canine first aid course in just 3 months (apologies to all those who missed the one at the end of February due to the speed it sold out) and the one in March too which was also over-subscribed.   Our Hessle Canine First Aid Course will take place at the Community Centre in the Old School House\, and is sure to be fun\,  lively and incredibly effective at getting the important first aid information across that could well save the life of your furry companion.  Parking at the Community Centre is residential only so you are requested to park in the Co-Op FREE car park just 30 seconds’ walk away. \nThe K9 1st Aid courses delivered by Rhodes 2 Safety have been ranked as the UK’s Number 1 by the 2017 Business Excellence Awards so you know the information and service you get will be second-to-none. \n \nWe deal with shock\, bleeding\, choking\, bites\, road traffic accidents as well as the big topics of CPR and Artificial Respiration \nStudents DO NOT bring their dogs\, but I will have one or two of my Ridgebacks with me for demonstration purposes.\n.\nEach student will gain a certificate of attendance and full course notes to take away\, so note taking throughout the session is unnecessary. Once the bandage is done\, students will then swap so that each not only has a go at doing the dressing but also feels how it is to be the patient and understands how the dressing feels when applied. A dog cannot give you any feedback about your skills so by doing it on a person\, we can get their honest opinion once the bandage is complete. Human skin also reacts by changing colour and temperature if it is too tight and swells up.\n.\nTo practice on a toy would not give you any of this feedback and I would not be happy about anybody practicing on a live animal until they are proficient in it – I am\, however\, more than happy for them to torture a human!\n.\nAt the end of the session\, there will be first aid products on sale too such as our Rhodes 2 Recovery book\, bandages\, first aid kits\, vet wrap\, tick pickers etc.\nCome and join us?
