SUMMARY:HULL - CANINE FIRST AID
DESCRIPTION:This the MORNING session will be hosted at St. Phillip’s Church in Hull.  It is sure to be fun\,  lively and incredibly effective at getting the important first aid information across that could well save the life of your furry companion. \n\n \nAs seen on Britain’s Top 100 Dogs. \nRhodes 2 Safety have been ranked as the UK’s Number 1 for canine first aid training in the both the 2017 and 2018 Business Excellence Awards as well as the Winner of the Outstanding Training Provider of the Year award\, 2017 and a finalist in the 2019 Animal Star Awards\, so you know the information and service you get from us will be second-to-none. \n \nEverybody is welcome from Students through to Professional Groomers\, Pet Sitters\, Dog Trainers\, Security Guards\, Hobbyists and members of the General Public.  We deal with shock\, bleeding\, choking\, bites\, road traffic accidents as well as the big topics of CPR and Artificial Respiration \nStudents DO NOT bring their dogs\, but I will have one or two of my Ridgebacks with me for demonstration purposes.\n.\nEach student will gain a certificate of attendance and full course notes to take away\, so note taking throughout the session is unnecessary. For students attending as part of their vocational studies\, the course generates 3 CPD points.\n.\nStudents are seated in a horseshoe so that EVERYBODY is on the front row and nobody will be struggling to see.\n.\nDuring the bandaging section\, I will demonstrate on one of my dogs and then students will be put into pairs to allow one to be the first aider and the other to be the doggy patient. Once the bandage is done\, students will then swap so that each not only has a go at doing the dressing but also feels how it is to be the patient and understands how the dressing feels when applied. A dog cannot give you any feedback about your skills so by doing it on a person\, we can get their honest opinion once the bandage is complete. Human skin also reacts by changing colour and temperature if it is too tight and swells up.\n.\nTo practice on a toy would not give you any of this feedback and I would not be happy about anybody practising on a live animal until they are proficient with the skill.  I am\, however\, more than happy for them to torture a human!\n.\nAt the end of the session\, there will be first aid products on sale too\, such as our Rhodes 2 Recovery book\, bandages\, first aid kits\, vet wrap\, tick pickers etc.  Tickets do go very quickly so if you would like to secure your place\, please click the link below.\n(Spaces are paid for in full\, in advance\, and sadly are non-refundable if cancelled with less than two weeks notice.)\nCome and join us?
